Qian Liya Leng grew up in different areas of the US and China. She studied Spanish and biology at the University of Arizona and then earned her MD/MPH from Harvard. She is a hospitalist and teaches students at WesternU and at Legacy Emanuel and Good Samaritan in Portland, Oregon. She also practices hospital medicine and precepts in primary care clinic at the Portland VA. She is currently doing a publichealth research fellowship at the VA. She is the faculty advisor for internal medicine club, cardiology club, and Asian Pacific American Medical StudentAssociation. Qian is a certified yoga and meditation teacher. Her areas of research include mindfulness, prenatal maternal health, and addiction medicine.
